Mrs. Roglyn Hinds
Ms. Hind worked for A. S. Bryden & Sons (Barbados) Ltd. for 34 ½ years, serving as Director for Human Resources and Company Secretary for 15 years prior to retirement in 2005. In 2007, Ms. Hinds joined the ANSA McAL (Barbados) Ltd Group of which Brydens was a part as head of Human Resources for the Group until my final retirement at the end of 2012.
She was a former Council Member of the Barbados Chamber of Commerce and a Past President of the Barbados Employers’ Confederation. She served on the Public Service Commission for 11 years from 1998 and is currently serving on the Protective Services Commission since June 2019.
Ms. Hinds is a Certified General Accountant and currently serve as a member of the Practicing Monitoring Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Barbados. She also serves on the Finance Committee of the Barbados Olympic Association and continues my relationship with the Human Resources Management Association of Barbados.
In recognition of her contribution to business in Barbados, Ms. Hinds was awarded by the Government of Barbados the Silver Crown of Merit in 2000.
Ever willing to assist in the development of youth Ms. Hinds served as the President of the Combermere School PTA for 7 years and was heavily involved with the University of the West Indies Mentorship Programme in the early years.
Ms. Hinds have served on the Executive Committees of PAREDOS since 2002 and the Haynes Memorial Trust since 1996. The Haynes Memorial Trust assists Barbadian children with educational needs and maintenance.
Ms. Hinds a bridge enthusiast and have represented Barbados regionally and internationally since 1992. She also represented the region (Caribbean and Central America) at 2 World Championships Games (Brazil in 2009 and China in 2019). Ms. Hinds is also the President of the Barbados Bridge League – a position she have held since 2010.
