ROSEANN RICHARDS BIOGRAPHY
Ms. RoseAnn Richards a Barbadian National, is a graduate of the University of the West Indies Mona Campus Jamaica; from which she obtained the B.Sc. degree in Social Work (Upper Second Class Honours)., the London School of Economics and Political Science from which she obtained the M.Sc. degree in Social Policy and Planning, the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus from which she obtained the LLB with honours. She completed her Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School in Jamaica in 2010 and was admitted to practice as an Attorney-at-Law in the same year.
Her work experiences has seen her perform twenty years of professional service in the field of Social Work with the last five of those years being spent in the British Virgin Islands as Head of Family and Children Services.
Ms. Richards has also served as Deputy Director of the Bureau of Social Policy Research and Planning in the Ministry of Social Transformation.
Ms. Richards has been a part time Lecturer and Tutor in the Department of Government, Sociology and Social Work of the Faculty of Social Sciences Cave Hill Campus, in the area of Industrial Sociology, Social Policy and Planning.
Presently she practices as an Attorney -at-Law at the Law offices of Holder & Co. Estate, Family (particularly children and the elderly), Labour and Property Law are her areas of concentration.
Apart from her professional life, Ms. Richards is a member of the Barbados Masters and Senior Athletics Club (BAMSAC), BAR Association, the Board of Trustee of the Oiver & Janet St. John Christian & Hyacinth Agbadamashie Foundation charity, PovertyWas Foundation Charity, the Association of Caribbean Social Work Educators, and Conscious Exchanges.
RoseAnn is a devout Anglican and worships at the St. James Parish Church. Her hobbies include art collection, listening to music and travelling.
